I have had 4 meetings with families over the past 2 weeks and have gained 4 new junior clients who will be working with me 1:1 monthly on the college search and application process. I wanted to write a little about how much I am loving this role…..

When I started this business last fall, I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t know if there would be a market for this type of thing. Would people be willing to pay for it? Would students open up about their strengths and weaknesses? Would I be able to help them think through things and figure out the direction that they wanted to pursue in terms of skills, majors, colleges, etc? Well, after one year, I officially have 17 clients and counting. By the end of August, I could have 20. And wow, I am loving it. Each and every meeting is different. Each student is different. Even when the same college list comes up with a new client as with other clients, our conversations are so full and rich. I think that I’m being challenged and changed in some ways even more than my clients! I’m learning a ton. I’m getting to interact with some awesome high schoolers. I’m getting to ask and answer hard questions. I’m getting to pray for my clients and get to know them in a real way. I love it.
