A parent first, an educational consultant second
I eagerly entered the world of educational consulting because I walked our own daughters through this process during their high school years — and truly enjoyed the research, the data, and the whole realm of it.
How our family’s experience became this work
Our oldest daughter was homeschooled, and I served as her guidance counselor, principal, and chief course planner and researcher throughout high school. Our younger daughter moved into public school for 11th and 12th grade after being homeschooled, and we quickly realized how much additional guidance the college process required.
The guidance department was proficient at providing testing dates, but little else was offered in the way of brainstorming, course selection, college options, or conversations about the future. That gap is what set me on this path.
Both of our daughters are now out of college and on to other life stages — one recently completed her PhD and teaches history at University of West Florida, and the other runs a professional wedding photography business with her husband. The need for educational counseling continues to amaze me, and I would love to help you walk through the process.
I’ve worked with more than 85 students and have experience with public school, private school, and homeschool students.
